A little humorous happening. Yesterdaywe stopped for lunch at a sports bar. On one of the flat screens they were showing TW's highlight. It might have even been at the event Woody is playing in this week.

There was a guy who was jumping out of his shoes at Woody's play. With every putt made he would holler something exciting.

When it was over, he walked by us and let us know that Tiger was back, and would win the tournament.

I just smiled and acknowledge his remark. I didn't think it was necessary to ruin his day by telling him the 61 that Woody shot on the flat screen was from a past tournament. That his current round three score today was a 73.

Exact same thing happened to me yesterday, except it was Joe Montana.

Anyone else see that graphic yesterday on how Tiger's swing speed has steadily dropped the past five events it has been measured?

That’s not unexpected since he’s kind of trying to steer it around right now.

Are we allowed to do this when we know it's a rerun?  If so, I'm going to do this next time I watch the 1947 NFL Championship.

Yeah, he's definitely got that weird thing going on, not the free flowing swing.

I don’t think he was bored. I somewhat agree he could’ve done more but not because of Chamblee’s reasoning. Golf is hard. Tiger was dominating. But he was dominating relative to golf and its history of players. Tiger didn’t win every tournament he played in. Not even at his peak. I honestly feel he made some poor choices in life that took away from his golf. His father dying, the injuries to add, a lot for a young man to endure all while trying to win at the most difficult sport of all. Tiger in his prime was phenomenal. Far beyond any golfer in history. But it’s all just speculation as far as what more he could’ve done. It is what it is. But I think his comeback is on a good pace and I hope he continues to have the desire.

I agree that he's underperformed based on his talent and work effort, which is primarily because of injuries. That the GOAT is the one who's gotten the least out of his talents however, I can't agree with. Maybe that he's the one that's potentially lost the most based on his talent.

I believe it's a back-handed complement to Tiger and just leave it at that.

I know it's commonplace for him now, but the first time he drew a huge crowd for a practice round, that must have been such a rush.

I did see he was ranked 47 for the Fedex Cup and now he is at 20.  Pretty amazing based on where he was at the beginning of the year and the number of tournaments he has played.  It is good to see him playing so well.

At 42, and so many surgeries, he will have a tough time against the younger players who molded their power games after Tiger.  He has kept not only his die hard fans, but I think he has converted a number of non-Tiger fans who are rooting for this version of Tiger against the world.
