Incompatibility of temperament means they don't get along, as in different lifestyles, not that he has a temper, Dufner probably hasn't argued about anything in his life, ever.

I think it means she likes to go out a party all the time, party all the time, party aaaall the tiiiime... and he likes to sit around and play Call of Duty.

She always seemed very animated and he typically seemed lifeless, I'd guess that is what is meant by incompatibility of temperament.   The majority of women that look and act like Amanda typically don't want a husband that is the butt of the Dufnering joke.

Haters will predict a break up any time they see a hot girl with a older or less attractive guy.  Common assumption is she's in love with his wallet and given all his money he wants a trophy wife.  I'm glad they spared us the gruesome details of who did what wrong and that a fire hydrant wasn't involved.

Not surprising at all. She was a publicity hound and as soon as you saw those hideous shots of her in a  bikini swinging a golf club, the writing was on the wall. It's the "look at me me me"  instagram generation of conceited, self-obsessed  wannabes. The world revolves around them and their photos of their butts and bellies. No class at all. He's just a decent, normal guy (apart from the tobacco chewing). She loves the limelight too much. Do an image search and you'll see what I mean.

I'd be very surprised if that analysis isn't dead on. She strikes me as the type who latched on to him to ride the gravy train and then cashed in. Now he could really be evil and we don't know, but from how she presents herself I can believe it. Now I want to stress that there's nothing wrong with flaunting what you have. It doesn't make you a ***** or bad person. But she did seem to be more concerned about herself mainly.

I'm not sure it's the hot girl with much less hot man trope. I think it's more that she was self-centered, from what removed position we are in can see, and from what we know of his personality its not hard to paint a picture. Btw, she could have been hideous and still had the same persona It just so happens she was pretty and kind of a show-off Btw (again). From earlier in the thread, my vote is Dancing with the Stars

      I'm not sure you're calculating the number of strokes you would need to give correctly. The way I figure it, a 6.9 index golfer playing from tees that are rated 70.8/126 would have a course handicap of 6. A 20-index golfer playing from tees that are rated 64/106 would have a course handicap of 11. Therefore, based on the example above, assuming this is the same golf course and these index & slope numbers are based on the different tees, you should only have to give 5 strokes (or one stroke on the five most difficult holes if match play) not 6. Regardless, I get your point...the average golfer has no understanding of how the system works and trying to explain it to people, who haven't bothered to read the documentation provided by either the USGA or the R&A, is hopeless. In any case, I think the WHS as it currently is, does the best job possible of leveling the playing field and I think most golfers (obviously, based on the back & forth on this thread, not all golfers) at least comprehend that.

      Yes it's true in a large sample like a tournament a bunch of 20 handicaps shouldn't get 13 strokes more than you. One of them will have a day and win. But two on one, the 7 handicap is going to cover those 13 strokes the vast majority of the time. 20 handicaps are shit players. With super high variance and a very asymmetrical distribution of scores. Yes they shoot 85 every once in a while. But they shoot 110 way more often. A 7 handicap's equivalent is shooting 74 every once in a while but... 86 way more often?
