No! The tweet just said they won. I'm not reading anything into it. Just that they won. Sorry for the confusion.  Good to see Vince/Hunter bounce back!

2 more points left to be decided today. Match 3 on the back 9 somewhere. East up by 3.  So the lead will be as low as 1, as high as 5 upon completion.

Congrats to Michael, who was a part of 5 of the West's 8.5 points, thanks to a strong West finish in Match 3 in the afternoon.

Everyone on the East took part in either 3.0 or 3.5. That's some balance for you.

Does this mean I have to fly to San Diego tomorrow too? ;-)

Thank you. Not bad for a guy who arrived at 3:30am last night. Maybe I should play more often on 2 hours sleep.

What a great day, 36 holes at Moon Valley.

Morning round was great fun, Kyle & I playing Dave and V.

On the 6th hole, I knock one stogie for a kick-bird and just I was beginning to like my new buddy V, he goes and rolls a twenty footer to save a halve on the hole.

Dave was a stud today, played very well.

But, the shot of the day was made by Kyle on the 17th tee.

Google Moon Valley and view this dogleg right hole design.

It's ridicules from the back tee. Requires a big banana ball around a huge tree which blocks the entire fairway.

Anyway, Kyle decides to play a severe hook, though the neighborhood.

He plays this shot which had to carry eleven roof tops and hook 150 yards back to the golf course.

I told that ball had to fly over LA to clear all of those homes.

Played the afternoon round with Colin and things went well for the Big Red Team.

Colin can flat move the tee ball.......

Great swing, fun to watch.

Also, for those who don't know, Matt can hit the ball to the Moon !!!

My new buddy V made amends...

Only took a few pics today, hoping for clear skies tomorrow.

Johnny Rocket - Let's Rock and Roll and play some golf !!!

    • Played Musgrove Mill GC today. 72.3/155. First round in 4 weeks and shot 44-39. 2 triple bogies on the front and horseshoed 4 putts today. Overall, 10 fairways, 8 GIR and 31 putts.  Set a goal today to par the 3 toughest holes (4, 18 and 9) and birdie 10 or 12 (which I have never birdied). Parred 4, 9 and birdied 10. Crushed my drive on 18 and had 139 left, but in casual water. Dropped back a little ways and took an extra club. Hit my 8-iron well but it came up short. Bunker shot from wet sand left me an 18’ for my goal. Read the break well but perhaps an inch too much break, and a touch heavy on the speed. Ball circled the hole 270* and tapped in for a bogey. Handicap dropped 0.1.
    • Day 143: 5/18/24 Practiced prior to round today. All aspects of the game.
    • I’m sad that no player got arrested this morning. It should be a feature now for every tournament.
    • Played around with this a bit. Not getting the spin up. This was even on a green that is pretty severely sloped towards me, clean lie, and a soft green. Maybe higher spin is just not my thing.
    • Why are they showing almost every shot by Theegala? Burmester also gets a lot of TV time. Then suddenly someone at +2 or -1 missing a putt. At least throw in a shot now and then from the others in the top 20.
