I think my first par was on a par 3 hole.   I hit my tee-shot and promptly lost it in the sky.  I thought I hit it poorly and that it was about half-way to the hole.  We looked around for a while, then gave up exasperated at losing a ball for no reason.  I just dropped a new ball in the fairway and chipped up to the green.  When we get to the green, there's my original ball sitting in a bunker.  I got the ball to about 2 feet and sunk it for par.

My first birdie happened a lot sooner.  Another par 3. I missed the green and chipped in for birdie.  A total fluke shot but who cares, it's a 2 on the card!

Not a chance of me remembering my 1st par or birdie. I do remember my first eagle but can't remember my exact age at the time as it was at least 30 years ago. Holed out my 2nd shot on a par 4 from 160 with a 7 iron. Felt like a hole in one at the time.

Most definitely do not remember my first par or even birdie.  Remember my last eagle which was on a shortish par 4 where a PW from 80 to 100 yards off the green took one hop and went straight in

Don't remember my first par but do remember birdie. I was probably 12 or 13. 480 yard par 5. Hit my drive in the fairway but proceeded to chunk my next shot about 80-100 yards. Was still out 160 but stuck a beautiful shot to about 4 feet. Was super nervous standing over that putt, but I drained it!

First eagle was also on a par 5 about 5 years later. Chipped in from about 50 feet.

Don't remember my first par. Remember my first and second birdies, though. They came in the same round, so both stick out in my mind.

My first par was on a dogleg left par 4, hit driver up to the top of a hill about 100 out, absolutely skulled my pitching wedge down the hill onto the green and two putt for par with one of my classmates and his dad.

Don't remember my first birdie, and never have had an eagle or an ace... :(  I remember the first eagle that I saw though if that matters.

I got too much crap on my mind to even care about those trivial things.  I do however remember my first eagle as it was a fluke of luck.  I skulled my second shot on a short par 4 and and rolled on to the green and in the cup.

I have had many eagles since then, but that first one stick out as it was a pure dumb luck.

Took some digging, but I remember my first par. In my country there is something like a licence to play golf. First you get ready for the exam on a par 3 course and the driving range, then you pass your theoretical exam and then you do the practical exam. I did that 7 years ago and made a par on the third hole of the exam.  On the first hole I made a snowman and the second a tripple, so the par was more then welcome. Man I was nervous, but I passed

Like it was yesterday. (which it wasn't)  I was 8 years old and playing, with my dad, at Mullet Lake Country Club.  The hole was a par 3.  A big, flat, oval about as far away as I could hit it.  And I did.  Missed the first one; made the second.  Overjoyed I was.

I can't remember my first par.  I made several by accident way too early.  I played video game golf before in person golf, so I thought real golf would be easy.  A few early pars helped in that thinking.

I do remember my first birdie.  Hole 11 at the par-3 course in Van Nuys, just about ten years ago.  I had a truly awful swing then, learned mostly by fooling around in a campus rec golf class.  Lucky tee shot landed not only near, but on, the green and I made the putt.  No witnesses.

Later that month, I took my first golf lesson... and not too long after that, made a birdie at a par-3 course whose proceeds benefit the VA Hospital near where I lived.  I called it my "first skilled birdie" and probably still have the ball somewhere.

I also remember my first par-4 birdie (hole #1 at Woodley Lakes golf course... this was also the first time I was ever under par during a round) and my first par-5 birdie (the first par-5 on the second nine at River Walk in O.C..  Hit a great drive, wanted to go for it in two, topped my wood, hit my 3H to a few feet, made the putt).  I believe I have those balls as well.

I remember my first birdie during a tournament, as my first club tournament I made one.  I was a 20+ handicap playing in a group with a friend and two of his friends.  The three of them were low single digit handicappers.  I made the only birdie of the round of the group.  They all produced better scores, though, of course.

Basically to say "Ok, you're able to make your away around a full course" type of thing?  Closest thing to an "exam" I had was being told I'm ready to go on the course when shots from the driving range stopped landing in the parking lot at the local goat track near my childhood home.  Terrible place for a parking lot if you ask me...

Hmmm...nope, no idea! I do remember my first birdie, mostly since drove the green on a downhill par-4, and two-putted.

I'm guessing I got my first par in one of my first few rounds, before I was really sure I even liked golf, and didn't know enough to remember it.

No recollection of my first par. Only remember my first birdie and eagle.

Same here. My first par was probably some crappy 1st shot (on a par 3 ) followed by some lucky 2nd shot. LOL

I use old Taylor Made clubs from eBay and golf shops.

I only remember my first bird, on the 11th hole at my local, a par 4. Great tee shot, followed by an equally great iron left me 4" from the hole. This was in 1991. Just a few months later I made a second birdie on the 13th hole there. This one was a chip from a green side bunker that rolled about 25 foot into the hole.

Of course, I was alone for both of these!

I've been playing golf for 58 years. I have no idea when and where I made my first par. I can tell you when I made my first hole-in-one, or my first double eagle. But par? No chance. I also couldn't come up with when I made my first birdie or eagle. Looking back, though, I kinda wish I did know when I made that first par.

I think my first par and birdie would have been one of the par 3's at Inverallochy Scotland.where I first started to play.

No eagles, double eagles or hole in ones.

I came very close to a hole-in-one on Thursday at the 17th hole at Eastern Star. 167 yards,5 iron, the ball stopped 6 inches behind the hole. The closest I've ever been.

First par was on a 150 yard downhill par 3. Hit an 8-iron on the green about 30 yards from the cup. Lag putted to about 6 feet for a nice par. Was a great feeling having my dad with me for it.
