Here’s mine. It’s missing the Driver, 6 and 9 irons because I’m a dummy and left them in my practice bag.
Playing with a 3 and 4 hybrid in addition to the 3 and 5 wood.

I use a BagBoy Revolver so rack slot is made for a single club...I obviously have them placed in sequential order with the two exceptions being the driver and putter which are kept in their tubes outside the revolving compartments.

I am a big fan of the 4 way full divider. Driver, fairway and 3 hybrid in the back slot. Pw-8 in the left slot. 7-5 in the right. Sand wedge and putter in the front.

When you ride do you rearrange your clubs or just reach around the long ones to get to the irons?

No. The long clubs face out in a riding cart. Sometimes the wedges can be a pain to get to depending on the cart.

I heard somewhere a long time ago that good players always put their putter and driver together.  Well, doing that didn’t make me a better golfer but now I’m self conscious about that.

Top to bottom:

  • Shortest club
  • Longest club
  • Three long clubs
  • Second longest club
  • Three clubs shorter than the long clubs
  • The long-ish club I rarely use, but can be nice from the rough
  • Three short clubs, but not as short as the shortest
  • A club longer than the three long clubs, but not quite the same

I have four "rooms" in my bag:

Top: Driver (Callaway Mavrik), 4 wood (Old Cobra King)

Mid-left: 4-7 irons (Callaway Mavrik)

Mid-right: 8-9 irons, PW and AW (Callaway Mavrik)

Bottom: 52°, 56°, 60° (Cobro King Pur) and putter (Old Odyssey white steel)

Allways tidy, not allways clean....

In the bag: Callaway Mavrik SZ 10,5 driver (X stiff), Cobra King 4 wood (Stiff, 2006 model), Callaway Mavrik irons 4 - P+A (stiff), Cobra King Pur wedges 52, 56 and 60 (stiff) and Odessey white steel putter.  Very happy with the set and the gapping.

Every club has its spot.  Sometimes my caddie messes it up, I have to fire him!  I am still adjusting to how my clubs ride on my electric trolley, since they are at an angle they hang differently than they did on the back of a cart.

Ping bag big slot top and bottom with 2 slots in middle.

Top woods

left 6-8

right 3-5

bottom 9-wedges

mallet putter hangs on outside of bag making clubs easier to get out.

Top left: 3W, 4H
Top right: Driver
Next slot down: 3, 4, 5 irons
Next slot down: 6, 7 irons
Bottom left: 8, 9 irons
Bottom right: PW and 56 degree wedge
Outside left: putter
Outside right: Gold Flex trainer to hang club towel

The last two get swapped depending on if I am driving or a passenger in the cart.

I used to arrange my tool box a specific way when I was a field engineer. I hated it when people would borrow a tool and put it back in the "wrong" place. What's the matter with them? Can't they see where it is supposed to go? 🙃

    • I kind of like this interpretation especially if you think about it the unplayable rule would probably put you in a better spot.  using back on the line releief.
    • I did not realize that, I was thinking a more traditional golf club.
    • Thanks for the feedback. @StuM, we are a "club without real estate" so no facilities or pro. We have a membership of around 185 players and we only play together as a group at our tournaments, which are held at public access courses. A group of us setup the tournaments, collect the money and dole out the prizes.
    • In general, granting free relief anywhere on the course isn't recommended.  Similarly, when marking GUR, the VSGA and MAPGA generally don't mark areas that are well away from the intended playing lines, no matter how poor the conditions.  If you hit it far enough offline, you don't necessarily deserve free relief.  And you don't have to damage clubs, take unplayable relief, take the stroke, and drop the ball in a better spot.
    • If it's not broken don't fix it. If you want to add grooves to it just because of looks that's your choice of course. Grooves are cut into putter faces to reduce skid, the roll faced putter is designed to do the same thing. I'm no expert but it seems counter productive to add grooves to the roll face. Maybe you can have it sand-blasted or something to clean up the face. Take a look at Tigers putter, its beat to hell but he still uses it.
