Fair enough.

Who doesn't love the Masters? Are people like that even real?

Yes. There are plenty who don't like the Masters, from the tricked up crazy golf greens, to fake painted grass and dyed water, to cheesy tv coverage and invented tradition.

So good so far.  This is a course that we don't see often and it's growing on me.  I like that the greens are receptive and being in the hay is not, necessarily, a death sentence.  And there is more weather on the way...so who knows?

How do you get to be Tiger and still not know how to hit driver? Considering he's about 120th in proximity to the pin with his approach shots, he's scored well. His plan makes it so difficult to be better then even par, it seems.

He used to be able to hit his driver great.  But that was when the heads were smaller and he could use a steel shaft.  It seems like when the heads got bigger and steel shafts could no longer be used and he had to switch to graphite, that's when he started to struggle.

Chris Wood on 61 or 62 watch. Guys going low this morning. Should be an indicator to Tiger he needs to make some birdies on this front 9.

NBC now has the coverage. Very difficult to watch actual golf. Commercials commentary. Hopefully the mid morning wave will be more focused on the actual golfers.

I thought the same thing. Kind of annoyed.

There's been a few birdies on the back nine too. Hole 14 does of course contribute with 60 birdies more than the easiest hole on the front nine, but there's certainly opportunities on the entire course. More bogies on the back nine though.

Today is a birdie day, Tiger, not a par day. He seems like he’s still playing like he’s trying to make 18 pars while other guys are getting aggressive and birdie’ing the crap out of this course. Leading score may be double digits under par by days end, so Tiger will want to at least get to around -5.

He absolutely wants to, but there's still only four players shooting 3 under or better so far today. Idk. if that's "birdie'ing the crap out of this course" worthy. :-P

Should have changed it to "birdie'ing the crap out of the first 6 holes because most of the guys are doing that. Tiger got on the board there on 4, though. Should be able to get one on 6, too, so hope he can get rolling.

42 players under par right now though. I think there were 32 when the day started. So there is a lot of red out there for the first 14 holes.

They better make their birdies today, because tomorrow will be a different day.

With that forecast you could get a Tommy Fleetwood situation where a guy goes low early and everyone in front of you falls and you may win. Poulter almost did that in ‘08 when Harrington won. Same with Chris Wood in ‘09. Crazy things could happen.
