I resent that this is a Pay-Per-View event and I won't give those multi-millionaires a penny of my money, especially when I don't care who wins.  It should be for free on NBC on Saturday and Sunday just like the skins used to be.  They couldn't even get a half a point in France!  These are two very greedy people.  I hope no one pays them.

$20? I don't think it's really a burden even for the most strict of budgets. It's a chance to see Tiger and Phil  in a much more candid golf event than we've ever seen with them. Sure they'll censor themselves to some degree as @iacas mentioned but many, many people will want to see this. Greedy? Mayweather, McGregor, NFL ticket prices, MLB ticket prices, NBA ticket prices, concerts, movies...etc. Come on.

I watched the 24/7 and it was fine. But one thing I learned…

Phil is prepping hard for The Match. He's flying out to Shadow Creek, plotting his strategy, all sorts of stuff.

Now, that doesn't mean Tiger isn't. But we know for certainty that Phil is.

Never understood this stance. I bet you my house if you were given the opportunity to play for $9 million on pay per view you wouldn't have one problem teeing it up. Yet because these guys have made some money in the past using their god given talent and hard work, they are greedy? They are providing entertainment, if you don't want to pay to watch then don't, but to resent someone for making money sounds petty and begrudging. 

I can't watch because I will be on the road, but I would pony up $20 to check it out, why not?

Two comments here:

• We don't begrudge actors, singers, etc. for how much they make? Why athletes?
• The one time I can understand people begrudging athletes for how much they make is when they play a team sport with a salary cap. Every dollar that Player A makes results in the team having one less dollar to pay to player B, or C, or a combination of players.

But golf isn't a team sport with a salary cap, so… Yeah.

I'll pass. It's basically a week away, and the people who will watch will watch, and talk about it here.

I'll be paying and watching.
