Just something my buddies and I were discussing over a couple beers. If golf were like baseball where you got to pick your own walk up music when you come to the tee, what would your song be? I always joke that mine would be Coming Undone by Korn.

”I’m trying to hold it together”

Theme song from "What's Happening?" TV show.

I once read that Bobby Jones, "the squire himself," once said that you should hear a song in your head to help establish a good rhythm.  Then my addled brain immediately thought of this and I can't stop.

"Sirius" by the Allen Parsons Project would be my first choice.

I've always thought "Going the Distance" by Cake would be great walk up music.

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs.

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

Britney Spears have songs that are very appropriate:

(You Drive Me) Crazy

[Hit Me] Baby One More Time

On a second thought, maybe the second one is bad omen...

This.

When I think of walk up music it has to be where the opening riff of the song is instantly recognized, profound and high energy. So The Blue Danube would not work even though it is one of the most beautiful pieces ever written. So for classical pieces, Beethoven’s 5th intro or The William Tell Overture would work.

Same for Rock. It has to grab the listener. Lots of songs by AC/DC have great power intros with my two favs being Back in Black and Highway to Hell. When my iPod turns on in my car, it always starts with the first song, AC/DC’s Shoot to Thrill, because they are alphabetically first on the list and it was the first song loaded. So I may pick that one too.

Rock has so many songs that have great power intros, their are too many to name.
