Yep.

Which is probably good. Less press, low pressure, small field, wide course…

And it is guaranteed OWGR points (if you finish)

I don't like how the limited field events OWGR points are "earned" and the Hero Challenge is the perfect example.
Finish last in this event and you get about the equivalent of 40'ish in the US Open, win the Hero Challenge and it's like a 3rd place in the US Open ..... these are not anywhere near equivalent things.

That being said - it will be good for the tour if Tiger can play; but before we get carried away just remember there is a difference between playing golf and playing 4 competitive rounds on tour.

Players play, tough players win!

He's usually pretty witty in a dry way if you pay attention enough, or catch him a little off guard.

I noticed that too! He's softening a bit in his old age....

Woods in a recent interview - I can't believe how far I'm hitting the ball. Based on the what's quoted in the article, easy there tiger/Tiger, take it slowly.

Quote

“I can’t believe how far I’m hitting the golf ball,” Woods told Auriemma. “I’m back to hitting it my full numbers and not really trying to do that. I didn’t realize how much I had dropped off because of the pain in my back and from me going at it and hitting it normal just because I just lived it from day to day to day and I really couldn’t tell the difference. But now I can tell the difference.”

Quote

He admitted he’s still concerned, and when he gets in uneven lies or weird swings, the thought may be there, “Is my back going to go out?”

“Still in the back of my mind I remember makings those swings and ending up on the ground, and having people come get me because I couldn’t walk anymore,” Woods said.

Here's the audio, haven't listened to it yet.

This is interesting insight to why Tiger switched his swing after 2002...

Basically, his left knee was trashed due to his swing under Butch Harmon's tuterage.

If that's from the podcast, yeah, that's what he said. But he's said that since 2002 or 2003.

In Twitterverse, Tiger is driving it past Ricky in practice rounds, long past,  according to Ricky. Tiger's comment is that he's doing this while driving it fairly effortlessly.
