@turtleback's point was that there was no reason to bring this up.

You basically did this: "I heard your fifteenth youngest* sister was a total slut. I don't believe it, but there are rumors…"

I posted extensively on the Tiger/PEDs thing after the biography came out. There was essentially nothing in there about it. It's a non-starter topic.

* I chose "fifteenth youngest" because, I'm fairly certain, you don't have fifteen sisters, so this way I could make my point without anyone thinking I'm actually talking about any of your family members.

Theres no reason to bring it up? This is a message board. Thats what happens.

No, there was no reason to bring it up. Nothing's happened that warranted bringing it up. You're just trolling, and then trying to plead innocence with the BS "I don't believe it though" or whatever you said.

It's not like something Tiger/PED-related made news recently, or another golfer recently was in the news for PEDs, or anything.

There was no reason. Just trolling.

To the topic of actual news… Just saw Tiger's eagle putt. I recorded and watched the coverage later. Yippee!

You misunderstood.  I wasn't saying that *I* was playing devil's advocate.  I was saying that you were using the excuse of playing devil's advocate to justify posting absolute garbage and then saying you didn't believe it.  Which is exactly what you did.  If you don't believe it then trolling is the only reason to post it.

And getting called on your garbage take is another thing that happens on message boards.

I think Tommy is on to something.

I think I heard them say on the broadcast that this is the fourth time Tommy and Tiger have been paired this year, and Tommy beat Tiger the first three times, so that's a pretty classy tweet.

Of course there is. And its ignorant to regard my post as trolling. Some like me care to engage in lively discussion on the web. Dont worry, im sure Tiger wont get word i brought it up.

He’s not angry, and you were trolling. No reason to bring it up. Nothing has happened that makes it a topic.

Im hearing rumblings again in 19th holes about Tiger using banned substances. HGH, steroids, etc. Seems to be the only reason some can come up with for his play this season. Anyone think there any truth to rumors? Truth be told, what he has done to recover medically is quite remarkable for a 40 something year old.

But IMO, i  think where alot of that is coming from are from folks that unconditionally hate Tiger to begin with looking for a reason to discredit this relative resurgence he is having this year. I have a friend who practically goes into full rage whenever he just makes a birdie, let alone do well or win a tournament. Considering as long as tiger as been around and with alot of others from his generation of sports stars getting hit, something real would have stuck to him by now i would think.

Who is rumbling and where? Is there anything new on the table or just that "people" don't agree that Tiger could've had the season he did with the surgeries he had, without drugs?

Unless there's something new, this dicussion has already been done. There's even a dedicated topic for it on this forum. There's nothing looking like facts indicating any substance abuse, if you don't count what he was on when he had his traffic incident a few years ago.

So, if there's nothing new, I don't see what we're going to discuss. If you want to, I suggest you post it in the dedicated topic.

I'll be very curious to see the TV ratings for today - even going up against the NFL.

They might as well call them TW ratings.

I used to call the PGA Tour The Tiger Woods show back in the day.

My local station pre-empted the local news to show the awards ceremony.

    • Okay, I'm genuinely curious about this "biodegradable leather" trend in golf. Are we talking snake oil here? I mean, golf balls, clubs... they all end up in the water eventually. Is this just greenwashing, or is there actually a real environmental benefit? And honestly, does it even perform as well as traditional leather? I don't want to sacrifice distance for the planet, you know? Anyone with real-world experience with these eco-friendly golf goods? Spill the tea!
