My Dad had six aces over the 80 some years he played, and I'm nowhere close to that. I've played 37 of the past 52 years, just coming back to golf after a long layoff. I've only had one ace (and it wasn't a particularly good shot), and it was 47 years ago! Guess I'd better try harder...

How about you?

I've had one in 34 years of playing.

But I am always aiming for the center of the green.:-$

Two aces, in just over 35 years of playing.  The first one was 33 years ago, the second was about 2 years ago.

I had 2 within 9 months of each other, August 1989 and May 1990.  None in the 27 years since - close calls, but that's it.  I'm 70 now and still trying.  Cool thing about the first ace was that it happened in the 4th round of the club championship in '89, on the 71st hole of the tournament.

Like Wally F. up there... 45 years and nada... And as I'm sure he'd say along with me. You name ANY POSSIBLE reason for missing one, we have experienced it. Lip outs, double lip outs (the most irritating one- lipped out rolling towards the hole and up a small slope, then lipping out on the way back down...ARRRGGHHHH), pin rattlers, flag catches, etc... you name it.

The announcers on PGATourLive said Sergio hit only his third career hole in one yesterday at TPC.  Given he basically plays 4 rounds a week most weeks for the last 20 years it shows they are pretty rare.

Two in about 30ish years of playing...The last one was about 15 years ago.  Been close many times since then.

Okay...now that's just cruelty.  Or some might say, proof there's some higher power, and it's using you for entertainment! ;-)

I have averaged one every decadeI have owned a set of clubs.  I have been golfing for around 45 years. All of them I would say,  were "pure luck", totally unexpected. My last one took a goofy bounce side ways into the cup.

Not exactly prolific, two in 54 years of playing.  I was fortunate to get one before I was 40, so it never seemed like I was running out of time.  The truth is that an ace is usually a good shot with which one gets lucky.

It took me 15 years to get my first when I was a 4'ish HC at the time.  That ace as a decade+ ago, and I'm still waiting for #2!! I need another to validate the first.........LOL
