My answer would be my motorcycle. I bought it to get around in grad school, and loved it, but once I moved to a downtown apartment with no parking it was a definite "ball-and-chain".

1986 Ford Mustang GT. Β For some forgotten reason, we bought a red Mustang GT with "T Tops". Β Fun until winter arrived. It was stolen that next spring along with our golf clubs (in the trunk). Β Never missed it.

I thought of the same thing when I read the topic title.

I can't think of anything I was excited to get and excited to get rid of. Maybe student loans? Or my home loan (just a few more years!)? But those aren't more about GETTING the loan, it's more about what you get WITH the loan.

There are tons of people who worked hard and sacrificed muchΒ to get that highly soughtΒ after, tough to get job, only to find out it really wasn't for them, switch careers, usually happier.

Kill slow play. Allow walking. Reduce ineffective golf instruction. Use environmentally friendly course maintenance.

That was my first thought, except without the just kidding part.

Besides my first wife, would say second home that I owned. Β Turned into a real downer when the city sold out, and let the greenbelt behind thatΒ house be developed into a subdivision. Β

Thought would be my last house with the quiet and view and suddenly had a few of fenced and the top of other houses.

In my bag: All Lefty clubs
Goldsmith driver I built 10 degree reg flex, Orlimar 14 degree 3 wood, 7 wood
Cobra Oversize 3 and 4 iron; Gigagolf Ion Control 5 iron through PW firm flex and 1 inch over with 3 degrees upright
Golfsmith SW that I built, steel shaft reg flex,Β Cleveland Tour Action Raw 60 with dynamic golf stiff

Just married my wife and I purchased an Audi Fox when it was first sold in the US.Β  It was a total hodgepodge of mostly Volkswagen parts that was the worst car I have ever owned.Β  Expensive to maintain, always in the shop, and had a ventura in the carburetor that was screwed in and would fall off allowing gas to pour into the engine as you were driving.Β  One of many problems.

Toss me in that camp.

My wifes Range Rover is upt there too. You do not want to own an Audi or other European car. After three years the mechanical bills will like up even for dumb stuff like brakes and air struts. Want a european car, lease it.
