Goes to show that the Super Bowl really isn't about football. ;)

Yea, lets not talk about the paper cut he had on his hand. :-P

The real questions should be, "How do you feel about your legacy when the refs make it easier for you to win." :-P

Being a Cowboys fan I’ve never cared for Philadelphia at all. ;-) But damn it’d be nice to see them slaughter the Pats. Can only hope.

Well the Viking / Eagles game isn't over but it's not close...at the end of 3 it's 31-7....It looks like the Patriots and the Eagles.   I like the Pats and Brady but unless Gronk comes back, I don't see the Eagles loosing.

Surprised the Eagles tore apart the Vikings defense. Of course, the turnovers helped them early. Looks as if Foles is heating up. Such an impressive performance that they looked stronger than the Pats.

Nice sentiment. I would have to think twice about getting behind the Cowboys, but the Pats could possibly get me to do it.

I watched a couple of plays of the Pro Bowl yesterday for the first time.  I was amused, but not surprised, to see that they were basically playing two-hand touch.  The only person that fell on the ground during any of the plays I saw was a receiver that lunged for a pass and stumbled.  Otherwise, a defensive player just came up and hugged the guy with the ball and they blew the whistle.

I started watching the Pro Bowl and after seeing how lame it has become switched to the NHL All-Star games.   It was much more exciting.

I really can't believe they still bother with the Pro Bowl.

Long ago, the money was enough to get the players to play something like real football. Now that it's about what they drop at the club on a given night, they just try to avoid injury. Something the local TE Eifert failed at miserably a few years ago. As a kid, the most entertaining aspect of the Pro Bowl was seeing all the helmet logos on the field at the same time.

Simultaneously having the Pro Bowl and the NHL All-Star Game really blows. The hockey version is better, but still a long damn way from the real thing. It was like a complete weekend without sports.

Honestly, I might be more likely to watch if it was 2-hand touch or flag. That would be kind of cool.

My 6yo just told me, "Everybody says the Patriots cheat." Thought that was pretty funny.

Perhaps in the future they'll call this past Super Bowl, "the day the defense died". There is just something unholy about 1100-plus yards of offensive. It's like its a freaking Big 12 game.

Very odd game, but I'll take any game where the Pats lose a Super Bowl (and where they come on the other side on a couple of questionable catch calls).

That said, the sooner the catch rule gets looked at, the better.

Currently focusing on: Key 4 - shorter backswing.

    • Probably since the golfer has to swing the club back and up. The hands have to move back and up. You can feel them go back and up just by turning the shoulders and bending the right arm, because it brings your hands towards your right shoulder.  The difference is if you maintain width or not. Less width means a shorter feeling swing path so the more you need to lift the arms. Being as someone who gets the right arm bend at 110+ degrees, it's 100% a timing issue. I am use to like a 1.5+ second backswing. It probably should be like 1 second at most. Half a second or more will feel like an eternity. I have had swings where I keep my right arm straighter and I am still trying to time the downswing based on the old tempo.  Ideally, for me, it is probably going to be a much quicker and shorter (in duration) backswing, while keeping the right elbow straighter. Which also means more hinging to get swing length without over swinging.

    • I'm currently recuperating from surgery, so no golf, but have been thinking about this quite a bit. This and the don't overbend the right arm thing. It's hard for me to even pose the position, so I'm not 100% sure, but I feel like it's impossible to have the right humerus along the shirt seam and not overbend your right arm, unless your hands are down near your hips. If the left arm is up at or above the shoulder plane and your right arm is bent less than 90 degrees, then your right humerus has to raise or your hands will get pulled apart. Your left hand can't reach your right hand unless either the right upper arm is up or the right arm is overbent. Is that right? If it is, then focusing on not overbending the right arm would force you to raise the humerus. And actually thinking further on it, if you do overbend your right arm, then you're basically forcing your upper arm down or forcing your left arm to bend. Since (for me at least) bending the left arm too much is not something I think I need to worry about, it means that the bend in the trail arm is really the driving force behind what happens to the right humerus.
    • I managed to knock off a 3, a 13, and a 15 a couple of weeks ago. The 3 was a 185 yard par 3 with a 6 iron to 12 feet. 13 was a 350 yard par 4, which was a 2 iron and a 9 iron to about a foot. 15 was a 560 yard par 5 with a driver in a bunker, 4 iron into the semi, gap wedge to 8 feet and a putt.
