Plus, don't you know, showing emotion adds wrinkles and makes you look older!!

I'm ethnically Chinese, so no. I'll look like this until I'm 70 ;-)

I'm a lefty with and inter-locking grip, the wedding ring can't happen. I bought a Qalo ring online for 40 bucks... it is a silicon rubber ring. I wear it all the time now... my wife is not thrilled.

As some of you may know, I recently got married. I had not had the opportunity to golf or go to the range since that day until yesterday after work. There was some annoyance/discomfort while golfing with my ring on and that made me wonder if this is a common issue that other people go through. If you have had a similar issue, what did you do to resolve it? Hopefully the answer isn't remove the ring, because I had already lost the first ring while we were in Puerto Rico on the beach and the possibility of losing it again.... Well, let's just say the consequences aren't exactly good.

If it's just annoyance then +1 for ... 'you will get used to it'. It's weird if I don't have it on.

I don't see why you can't take it off and put it on a string around your neck or something?

Lost and found mine 2 times while rock climbing, then once when I was carrying my son and it fell off my pinkie finger when he was playing with it. This was 15 years ago, now both my wife and my rings are in a safety deposit box.

This is an issue I had before, also.

It was easy for me. Pre-golf routine is to take it off and put it through the carabiner clip on my truck keys and put my keys in my golf bag.

My wife knows I take my ring off for 2 things: I'm golfing, or I'm running long distance. She understands.

As with your phone, wallet, sunglasses, and keys in general the number one thing that works for me (and a lot of people) is to only put them in a limited number of exclusive places. My keys are either in my pocket, in the ignition, on the key hook, or in my golf bag. I NEVER set them anywhere else. I reduced the times I lose any of these items by about 99% since starting this routine. Knock-on-wood but I haven't lost any of these items in probably 5+ years.

I've had a pair of sunglasses that I've used almost every day for 10+ years now lol! Still haven't lost those things.

I am a very forgetful person so if I took it off I am certain I would lose my ring. Therefore I have learned to play with it. I would rather play without even after close to 10 years playing with it on. But I don't think it makes a difference in my score one way or the other.

I don't wear a necklace, so I am pretty sure having something around my neck would throw me off too. That's why I mentioned that if I wore a necklace I would put in on there while golfing.

I don't wear my wedding ring when I golf.  I put my keys, ring, watch, and wallet in one of those velvet bags with the drawstring that Crown Royal comes in (pic attached) and take out my ball mark repair tool and marker clip.  I put that bag in the lined valuables pocket of my golf bag.

I do that every time so I know exactly where it is.  Had many occasions before I started doing this where I had panic moments looking for one of the above items.

I just wear my ring. Always have. I don't wear a glove, though, which helps.

Many moons ago when I was first married, I wore a wedding ring.   I took it off to golf, it didn't feel right holding a golf club.   Soon after, I almost lost a finger in a manufacturing plant where the ring got caught in a machine.   I have never wore a ring since.

I would take mine off to rock climb, and then on the weekends for jumping.  And then forget to put it back on the other days except when the wife reminded me.  And I knew a guy also that had his finger stripped of skin when his ring caught on a truch gate driving away.

I'm just not used to wearing it at all.  I'd find it very uncomfortable while holding a club  It lives on my key ring 100% of the time now.

Yes, the wife is very understanding.

I wear my wedding ring and also a signet ring on the right hand. Neither bother my while golfing nor do I wear a glove. In fact, trying to play with a glove on bothers me.

Anyway, the wedding ring has been on so long (40 yrs) that it would have to be cut off. It will not go past the knuckle. The signet ring is getting to a similar condition, it's been on since '93,

If you leave it on you'll eventually get used to it. If I were to take it off now it would feel weird to play without it.

Yes, same here.  It's a complete non-issue.  Wear it during all sports, including karate, showers, to bed, just all the time.

The only time I ever take mine off is when I'm fiddling around at work thinking "hmm, I wonder if I've gained too much weight again such that it's stuck?" or on occasion when I have a brain freeze and temporarily forget the exact date so I have to peek at the inscription on the inside. (Will also work if I ever forget my wifes name ... or my own) :-P

I think she's going to figure it out when your anniversary card says, "To my loving wife, Andrew."

Same here.  I worked in a machine shop for 33 years and couldn't wear either a ring or a watch for safety reasons, but they always went back on as soon as I left work.  Now that I'm retired, they never come off.  I wear both 24-7.

    • Day 206 3-11 Focused on wider backswing and reconnecting arm in downswing. Wasn't really happy with how swing was looking today. Wider backswing is very different for me. Went back to do a some longer pauses at the top. Hit a few foam balls.
    • This is an awesome breakdown. most of the bigger tournaments usually have one wave with the advantage, Thank you for the breakdown. If it is soft then it will be a lower final score
    • Over the past 15 years, the winning score has ranged from -10 to -20. Mostly around -13.  Here is Thursday and Friday weather. Saturday and Sunday weather. I think the course will play soft. Plenty of sky cover, lots of rain on Thursday. Fairways and greens will probably stay soft throughout the week.  In terms of tee times, I think Thursday morning and Friday afternoon have the biggest advantage.
