At least he could have flown the flag with the 3rd one. It was an awkward video but you can't really judge him on this.

Very unflattering cover photo, depicts a frustrated, middle aged man which is obviously intentional given the title of the video.  Every story has to have an angle, this one clearly wants to tear down Tiger.

Anyone who watched the Players saw a lot of warmed up professional golfers put balls into the water, so this really doesn't mean much in terms of his comeback.   I'm more curious why Tiger would even agree to try to make the shot given the circumstances.

Because he's been hitting golf balls for a few months now.

Understood but as you said, he's recovering from back surgery and didn't warm up.  While five years ago it would have been a no brainer, he had to consider that he'd put at least one in the water given the circumstances.

Because at this stage and at this particular function, his job is to drum up publicity for a tournament that bears the sponsorship of his foundation.  Anything he does with a club in his hands makes news, much more news than if he'd declined to try.  The results are almost insignificant as an indication of the state of his health and his golf game.

i dont think the swings were as bad as the results, i think the first swing was just a little tentative and the other two, the ball just rolled back, again, the swings themselves werent terrible.

I thought they looked fine as well. Just poor distance control.

Not emberassing at al. Its just a kind of 'after lunch ball' without warming up. All the pro's do a lenghty warmup before playing. Sure Tiger needs that too.

I give Tiger credit for fighting and trying to make it back and we all want to see him get it back, but it's almost like watching Michael Jordan with the Wizards. You love to see him back, but at the same time, you cringe now every time he swings and expect the worst. It's been tough to watch him the past couple years.

I bet there at least 10 people who don't want to see him get it back, maybe even 11.

I'm a big Tiger fan but if Tiger can't be competitive I'd prefer he just retire.

I grew up a Mets fan and there was nothing worse than watching Rusty Staub play baseball at the end of his career.  He was overweight, couldn't field, couldn't run and just ruined the image everyone had of him when he was in his prime.

Day has won seven of his last 17 tournaments. Tiger did that seven times.

That's the number of Woods's missed cuts. No, not this year. In his career. Day missed 16 cuts in 2008 alone. Yeah, he was a rookie then, but Tiger was one of those once as well.

For more than five straight years Woods had a stranglehold on the world No. 1 ranking. Day has had it since last fall. This one isn't out of reach, but let's talk in 2020.
