As player with an index of around 7-9, hitting greens in regulation is a challenge.  My average is around 45% (8).  My best (so far) GIR round of 2015 was 83% (15 of 18).  Ordinarily, my expectation would have been multiple birdies and a very nice score with that percentage.  It was not to be as my putting was pretty poor and as I recall, some of those GIR's were pretty distant from the hole.

Anyone hit 100% this year?  What was your best showing so far for 2015?

15 out of 18 and it's my best personal round.

the next best is a lot of 12 of 18 rounds.  the scores and play are significantly different - like a totally different golfer

My normal is 9 or so.  clearly GIR is HUGE for me.

I have a lot of 9 hole rounds at 7 of 9, but I don't think I want to count those

GIR: 16/18 with this round in Feb, one of my best scores of the year. What a coincidence ;-)

BTW, quick plug for @GAME Golf, I had no idea what my best GIR was but since GAME lists all the stats with the rounds it was really easy find.

Only 11 out of 18 for me. But that's a pretty big accomplishment as I average about 27% only (5 greens).

My best this year is 13/18. Average is 49%

GIR can vary greatly from course to course. My old club San Jose CC I would average 38% and at my new club Columbia Edgewater CC I average 49%. Bigger greens is the simplest explanation I have at this time.

My best has come as the weather starts to get too poor to play.   My best this year is 9 GIR but I average about 4.

83% on a shorter course awhile back. +50% seems like a good round now.

12/18 is my best this year and I've done it three times.  Once in May at our Industry Hills outing where I shot a "sparkling" 86, once last month, again at a SoCal outing, this time Eagle Glen, where I came home with a 79, and once yesterday where I shot my best round in about forever ... 73. :)

I still have over six weeks to go in the year so I hope I have not had my best GIR yet. I don't really keep track of that stat any longer. If I had to guess I would estimate 8-10/18. FIR would be 14/14 but our fairways are pretty wide and it is hard for someone to miss too many. The greens are surrounded by bunkers and the greens slope toward the bunkers as well. Not easy to hit a lot on my home course.

It was 8/18, and not surprisingly, the lowest score of the year: http://www.gamegolf.com/player/billchao/round/599491

I average 4.5 GIR/round.

I averaged 5.4 GIR for the year. My best was 9, but I usually have just 4 or 5.

Unsurprisingly, that 9 GIR round was my best of the year (84 on a par 71). I also had 12 nGIR, and for those 12 holes, I was +3. For the remaining 6 holes where I was not nGIR, I shot +10. That round was the easiest course I played all year. I've always thought my first sub-80 round will be on this course. Next year!

Interestingly, my average nGIR is 11, just 1 shy of the round above.  My best nGIR day was 14, but blowup holes prevented a good score on those rounds.

Best was 4 in a 9 hole round of a 43.

Best was 7 in an 18 hole round which was not my best round of the year due to some bad putting.

I average 4.7 per round which needs a lot of improvement.

The course difficulty one plays has a lot to do with GIR.

With that said, regardless of course difficulty.......GIR was my worst stat for 2015....... I only hit 36.5% for the 2015 year!!  When I see this number, I can't believe it myself, but stats don't lie.  My chipping/putting definitely made-up some of the slack.
