My wife and I had gotten a 2017 annual membership at our club for $2,800.

Three free rounds each for wife and me at Myrtle Beach, courtesy of our time-share group.

Paid $450 to play in our athletic department scramble, and $120 for a children's hospital scramble.

Then, I played about $300 for the admin fee and rounds for the MAGA Amateur circuit and $120 for District Senior championship; club championship as free.

Add $200 for miscellaneous odd place rounds.

So, figure $3,990 in costs, and take out about $240 for various cash and green's fee prizes, probably $3,750 net cost. (That means my amateur status is safe! )

I pay $30 per month for free range balls and discounted green fees.  I use about $80 worth of balls a month, so I consider that $30 more than paid for from the range.  So not green fees.

I mostly play before 8 am on the executive course where I get discounted green fees... $5/round, 2 rounds a week = $520.

I play an 9 hole course on most Saturdays, $18/round times say 30 rounds = $540

I play a full course about once a month and probably average about $50/round * 12 = $600

146 rounds, $1,660

For 20 weeks of play, $1200 in green fees less $540 in league play winnings, not counting a total $120 in pro shop credits for several closest to the pins won (which I haven't spent yet).

I'm estimating about $2500 in greens fees, all said. Probably another $1000 in equipment though.

Since I just started in May I have spent more on lessons and the driving range than I have on greens fees.  I've only been on a course 3 times = $90

So, how much did you spend on just green fees in 2017?

My wife handles our taxes, and expenditures. She told me today I spent right at $3500.00. :-O I didn't think it was that much. I don't dare add in travel, and what I might of spent at the 19th hole.

Luckily some of that is write offs for a small LLC I have going. :-(

My wife is making me stop spending so much while we are putting 2 kids through college. I was good last year spending less than $1000, but ended up spending around $4500 on ammo. This year, I’m focusing on technique and ball striking so it’s going to cost a lot less. The Mevo will come in handy for that.

Same for my shooting. I’m going to practice a lot more technical things. I have a laser target system for my rifle and shotgun so I don’t need to fire live rounds for first shot movements.

From what I can think of  green fees -  carts -  assoc. fees - assoc. winnings and a few  outside contest  that I was in. I spent about 1450.00 for 58 18 hole rounds

Membership green fee 1200$

I played about 80 rounds last year, at my home club it is about 35$ Per round but different courses cost from 50$ to 150$. (Caddie and carts include).

Let's say it averages about 60-70$ per round then it would be 60x80= 4800$ for the year.

Total would be 6000$ for last year. Not counting gasoline, practices fee etc

Oh shit, I didn't think it would be that much.

Canadian April to late Oct playing season....I think maybe 900-1000 if I kept track?

Living in Saskatoon this year and I know the membership I'll be joining will be $1200 for a twilight membership.

Once a week with my women's club and once a week with girlfriends totals around $4000! On weekends and vacations, another $4 grand probably comes out of my husband's wallet for me to play. Wow.

Well I got curious so since I keep track of all my outgoing $ I looked it up.  I spent about $2,000 on green fees.  But not nearly as much golf this year as usual because I had some physical difficulties that kept me off the course.

Probably around $600 for me maybe a little less maybe a little more. My home course is $20 twilight so I saved a lot of money there and spent my money on nicer courses for vacation or special occasions.
