Props to Tiger,  I'm one who said 3 years ago it would never happen again.  Payin out $2,000 because of it, fk!, but really did enjoy his celebration with the kids and his mom.  One of the most amazing sports stories in our lifetime. Erik, ur fanboyness has been paid.

That was amazing. Putting Tiger aside, it was an awesome tournament to watch. There were like 10 guys with a chance on the back 9. But Tiger winning tops it all.

That was such a good finale that even my wife got interested the last few holes! She's never paid attention to a tournament in the last 20 years!

Now, just think if Tiger can get in touch with his putting again... 😯

Man, that was exciting. I haven’t been around the forum much in a few years, since my little one was born. Still golfing a lot though.

Next year, he’ll be old enough to take to a couple of the family courses near here. I’ll make him wear a helmet, but he’s three and he already raves to me about golf and hockey (mostly gibberish), and watching him get excited about Tiger winning (him being excited was a combo of my excitement coupled with his fascination with Tigers bright red shirt) was one of the best moments of fatherhood there is.

I know I went a bit off topic, but it’s been a good day.

LOL, me neither but after today I had to come back and see all the Tiger talk.  That was amazing this morning.  I especially liked watching him celebrate the way he did.

Incredible win for Tiger. Took down some of the hottest players in golf over the last couple years. I think he will gain tremendous confidence from beating those guys today, just like he must have taken big confidence from beating Rose & McIlroy at the Tour Championship.

I don't know why it's so hard for people to get behind Koepka but the brute mental and physical strength of this man is undeniable. Maybe because he looks a bit like Thanos. Lol. But if I was in a battle for my life, I would want him by my side.

My guess: There's nothing about him (yet) to draw fans or create non-fans.  He's incredibly good, but really boring, and we don't really know anything about him.  His closest comparison on the course is probably DJ because he's also pretty robotic and emotionless while golfing.  But he's all kinds of interesting off the course with his social-media/wife/suspension/drugs??/injuries etc etc.  He's level headed but colorful.  Koepka is ... there.

Just watched the back nine after getting back from work. Tiger played great down the stretch. I can’t believe Molinari put it in the water twice.

The back nine at Augusta is just a great venue for the climax of a major. Always drama.

Tiger played each 9 on all four days under par. Talk about consistent!

What a tournament. Excitement from start to finish. And they beat the storm. Incredible.

Too bad he won get the jacket among the fans. Would be more fitting than in a cabin.

He did get the jacket on the green outside. They reversed their earlier decision to cancel that ceremony (which they only did to protect fans from possible horrible storms).

A whole lot of guys around here are gonna be having one hell of a plate of crow for dinner. It's just beautiful. They're all in hiding!

Name 'em! 🙂

Woods led the field in greens in regulation (58/72, 81 percent). Seven of those missed greens came in Round 1.

Not a "fanboy" here. Just appreciate what he is, has done, and can (still) do.

But I appreciate the crow-eating. Good on you.

Hey guys n gals;

I’m new on the forum, so let me ask this question- F. Molinari tapped in with the flag in the hole, in successive holes. Aren’t those violations?

Not in 2019.

    • I was going to start a thread, but this seems like the place.  Yesterday I played my matchplay match at my local club.  My opponent is a notorious sandbagger by reputation.  The pro once pulled his tournament rounds from the past several years and said that it is impossible his tournament rounds are legit based on his handicap. here is what happened last night.  I am getting 4 shots from him.  His current handicap index is 15.3 i shot 45 on the front.   Was down 4 after nine, he had three birdies and shot even par. I was closed out on thirteen, we halved with a bogey.  That bogey put him one over par for his round.   He then took a triple on 14 and then left. As if that wasn’t bad enough, he lied about his score.   I wrote down on my scorecard what the score was.  He put higher values that didn’t affect the outcome of the match to pad his score and apparently make it not look as obvious.   He shot 36 on the front, but claimed 40.  The higher values for his score were in the online scoring app our club uses.  He did it this way: I won #7. He had a 2 foot putt for par that if he made would still lose the hole.   He picked up and said it didn’t matter since I won.  He took a 5 instead of a 4 after picking up a gimme. on #8 his approach shot on this par 4 was 8 inches.  I verbally conceded the putt but I had hit into a hazard.  I finished the hole with a 6.  Instead of birdie he put in for par. on #9, another par 4, his approach was to 18 inches.  I missed my par putt and then knowing how close I verbally conceded the putt.  I missed my bogey putt, he never conceded mine.  Instead of birdie he put down a bogey. He padded his score by 4 shots on the front.  And then did again on 10.  I rinsed one and made 6 on a par 4.  I putted out and he was fishing balls out of the lake so I drove off to the next tee.  He had 15 feet laying two but claimed a 5.     love to know the odds of a 15 handicap being even thru 12 holes on a round of golf.
