Yeah, fuck science, math, and all the other facts at play here.

Dude, don't even post if you're just going to post nonsense.

WAKE UP! As someone at risk (you were a heavy smoker, pretty sure), and as an older person, this could kill you.

Not just an older person, anyone with a weak immune system. My wife who is in Germany, just finished her last chemotherapy about 2 weeks ago and the doctors told her not to get on a plane. She was due to come home for a few weeks before starting immunotherapy.

Yes, I know. I was speaking specifically to @Buckeyebowman.

He's not a 22-year-old with great lungs. He's an older long-time smoker.

I've heard this "flattening the curve" nonsense, and think it's a load of propaganda. Consider the numbers they're comparing. Early March, when we were testing basically nobody, to now when we're doing thousands of tests a day! What would you expect to happen? If you go looking for something, you're apt to find it!

People can be idiots. They succumb to panic, which DeWine seem to be doing a bit of. Either that, or there's something we're not being told!

Wait, so young healthy people going out to restaurants and bars effects the elderly/weak? I don't really think that this is the answer.

Young healthy people going to a bar or restaurant and catching the disease and then passing it on to the elderly/weak is not a thing?

I mean...are you effing serious?

1. If I am washing my hands and being careful, explain how I effect elderly/weak if there are none in that environment

Being coughed on and then coughing on or touching someone later on. Are you for real? Seriously?

But to shut down the restaurant business altogether seems extreme.

Yeah - to potentially save lives and stop infection during a  pandemic does seem pretty extreme

I will go out as much as a please. I am safe and healthy as I do so.

How the *&%^ do you know that you are "safe and healthy"?

Your posts are like a copybook of how to be irresponsible and how to ensure that as many people as possible are infected. You should be ashamed.

My wife and I are going to set up my son's old room as our gym for the time being.

Boston is now has Orange Status travel restrictions. Construction sites are being asked to close down, which is huge.

You could chase those dogs of yours around the backyard if it isn't still too cold for you.

Every muni or public course within a 50 mile radius of me closed for at least two weeks yesterday. So no golf for moi.  Im working from home indefinitely.

I think this quarantine is going to make me wish i went into divorce law...

Both of my 20 somethings still live in our house. If not, I would do that for sure.

Today is acceptable, but the yard is a slimy mud-hole due to lack of sun.

A lot of Youtube videos and catching up on my DVR recordings. Still playing and going to the driving range as long as they remain open.

    • First - glad to see these popping up again. Now to the topic at hand - I would rather be option 1.  If I know how far it's going (I mean a yard or two) I can always play to the wider parts of the fairway and/or the green and still do reasonably well.  Now if I could just really hit the "number" that well.
    • Day 2 (10 Mar 25) - Long day of driving to dr appt with son.  Thankfully got in one of my fave putting drills (two ball side by side) - the goal to have both balls come off the putter face equally by having them come off the putter face as close to the same time as possible.  First few rolls - the toe was leading the way as that ball flew off the face.  By the end of the drill both balls were basically equal off the face, rolling to within a couple of inches of each other.  Nice drill of focusing on squaring the face.  BTW - I was using the old Odyssey DF992.
    • Day 161 - 2025-03-10 Got a decent, long session in. Focused mostly on the backswing feels, and moved on toward the end of the four hours (not all hitting balls, I installed a motion sensing light switch in there too, and worked with a student over FaceTime for a bit) on the downswing feel.
    • Day 31: 3/10/25 Backswing drills with the ProSendr. Reinforcing iron play from yesterday.
    • I wrote up a response as a YouTube comment that I won't be posting on YouTube. What an absolute load of garbage. Your arm doesn't "slingshot" or "bounce" - you use the muscles in your arm to move your arm and throw the baseball. In one video you've managed to get roughly five areas of science almost completely backward. At best, your video sets up a straw man as nobody is telling golfers to do anything like what you show when you're demonstrating a "bad tennis player." The golfers you see on your lesson tee must be from a completely different world than almost anyone else on Earth, because most golfers do something more like what you prefer to teach - their arms are too passive for too long, they stay "up" too long, and are carried out toward the ball from the top. From there, they stall their pivot, often early extending while right tilting to TRY to not swing 15° left. You know… we have ways of measuring these things these days, but you're still stuck with a poor understanding of how the golf swing works and are peddling it to some unsuspecting and unfortunate souls. But, I know… you teach "athletes." I hope for your sake that's just code for "dumb" because anyone with even a room temperature IQ understands that there's nothing truly "effortless" about the golf swing.
