Predict the Winner of the 2016 Masters with The Sand Trap and PING!

Who do you think will WIN the Masters in 2016 and what SCORE will they shoot?

PLEASE READ the rules thoroughly. Each year people are disqualified for simple mistakes.

To enter, post your answer right here in this thread along with the text "PING is going to help me be fast and forgiving with the new G Driver and Crossover!"

Your answer must also include a 2nd and 3rd choice. You are NOT predicting who will finish 1st, 2nd, and 3rd; you are picking three players to win and the score(s) they will shoot. The first choice carries tremendous weight (see the rules below for more), while the second and third choices exist simply in case we don't have a winner selected by anyone's first selection.

The first-place winner will win a custom PING G Driver!

The second-place winner will win a custom PING G Crossover!

The Rules:

- All qualifying entries must be received no later than April 6, 2016 at Midnight eastern time zone (New York City).

- Winners will be notified within 24 hours of the completion of The 2016 Masters and will have 48 hours to claim their prize.
- You must be a registered member of The Sand Trap in good standing.
- You must be a legal resident of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia and aged eighteen (18) or older as of the date of entry.
- Your answer must include the visible and bold text "PING is going to help me be fast and forgiving with the new G Driver and Crossover!", the FULL NAME (first and last, for the purposes of proper and unique identification) and the score in relation to par (+2, -4, E, etc.) of the player you are predicting to win the
2016 Masters, as well as your 2nd and 3rd choices (same rules apply - full name, score in relation to par).

- The Winner will be selected as the first person in the contest to correctly pick both the winner and the score. The runner up will be the second person to correctly pick the winner and score or be the first person to pick closest to the winner/score.

- One entry per person and per household. Any additional entries or modifications invalidate all entries.

- If we suspect fraud of any kind - suspicious multiple entries, for example - we reserve the right to award the prize to the next valid entry in the order established above.

Details regarding the red, underlined rule:

- It's very simple guys. The winner is the first person (who satisfies the other rules) to choose the correct winner and score with their first choice. If nobody picks the correct score, the winner is the first person to have the closest score for the correct winner. If nobody chooses the correct winner with their first choice, we repeat the process for everyone's second choice, and then the third.

- In other words, if someone chooses Joe Smith for their first choice - at any score - and you choose him for your second choice, you've wasted your choice. Additionally, if someone chooses Joe Smith at -2 for their first choice, it makes no sense to choose Joe Smith at -2 for any of your choices if you're posting after that entry (unless the person is DQed or ineligible, of course).

- Think of your picks like draft picks. Your second and third choices should be someone you don't think will be chosen in the first "round."

The Prizes:

First: Custom PING G Driver Winner gets to choose stock shaft, flex, loft.

Second: Custom PING G Crossover Winner gets to choose stock shaft, flex, loft.

Winners will have 48 hours to claim their prize after being notified..

Again, please read the details about how to go about entering the contest and picking players. Don't pick top ten players for your 2nd and 3rd picks. Example for this contest would look like this

1) Jordan Spieth -36
2) Bill Haas -36

I'm not trying to call anybody out, but READ THE RULES...

If somebody takes Spieth or Day with their first choice, your choice of Spieth and Day aren't ever going to count. Remember, your first choice should be who you think will win, your second choice should be an unlikely winner and the third should be a very unlikely winner.

Also, some of you are not putting the bold PING text in as required. It doesn't have to be red, but it has to be in there and bold.

    • Obviously, the business of taking medical advice online to heart is dumb and I fear a trip to the doctor may well be necessary. But. ... I woke up Monday with a pain in my right bicep area. Basically it's ok unless I extend my arm laterally (kind of like you'd do in a back swing), then it hurts significantly.  Originally, my assumption was that I slept on it wrongly and it would go away in a day or so. It even seemed slightly better Tuesday morning, but no real progress since then. Can't think of anything specific that might have caused it. but golf is probably out for this weekend. Anyone have anything like that? Does that sound like some sort of repetitive motion problem?
    • I wouldn’t say there’s a significant forgiveness factor. The hollow backs apparently help with ball speed thus helping with distance while still allowing the club to perform as expected for its loft.  I can say you’d probably like the Ping i500 irons. I played them for awhile but ultimately preferred the softer feel the i200’s had. I currently play the Callaway Mavrik Pros which are my favorite of all time.
    • Good points...and again...I can always count on you to get my obscure references. IMO Brooks wants to be interesting and have people fawn over him but all the while remain aloof. It’s orchestrated and not genuine. He’s a bore, doesn’t want to be but doesn’t have the personality to change it. So the media tries to engage and he goes back into his mysterious/aloof robot persona.
    • Got back home just in time to see the Jake Muzzin incident last night in the Leafs-CBJ game. Looked like he was about to get up after colliding with Bjorkstrand, but the trainers told him to stay down and they strapped him up and carried him off. Hopefully, that was mostly an abundance of caution.  Having no fans in the building is strange enough. While everyone was waiting there was no sound whatsoever. The CBJ broadcast team didn't say anything at all for a long stretch. Made the proverbial minutes of silence we often have for various reasons seeming deafening. Certainly hope Muzzin is ok.
    • I have the same issue. You have a nice swing. I would look at doing Key 5 Clubface Control drills. There are a couple in this thread below. For me, my path is a bit inside out, so I play a push and align my feet left of target. If I align them at target, I hook or overdraw. In your down the line video, your feet at lined up on the tree above your head. You pull your drive and it starts left. If you are playing a fade, that’s fine. This drive looks like a low hook or pull fade.
