It's been reported by multiple sources that Arnold Palmer died today.

A monumental loss for golf.

Sad day for golf fans. He was very charismatic personality . Seems to really enjoy playing golf all the way into his old age

I know he hadn't been looking too good for a while, but man, I never really thought it would happen. Rest in peace, Arnie.

Last I heard he had been getting stronger. His absence as a ceremonial starter at Augusta will be missed.

Jesus and Moses are playing golf in Heaven when they come to the par-three 17th hole, a long carry over water to an island green. Moses tees off with a 3-wood and hits the green. Jesus takes out his 5-iron and says, "I'm going to hit a 5-iron because Arnold Palmer would hit a 5-iron from here." 

Jesus tees it up and hits a lofted iron shot that finishes 25 yards short of the green and in the water. 

Jesus turns to Moses and says, "How about parting the water so I can play my ball where it lies?" 

Moses says, "No way. You foolishly chose the wrong club because of your Arnold Palmer fantasy and I'm not going to be a party to it!" 

Jesus shrugs and starts walking on the water to where his ball went in. Just then, a foursome approaching the tee box sees Jesus walking on the water. 

One of them asks Moses, "Who does that guy think he is, Jesus Christ?" 

Moses turns and says, "No, he thinks he's Arnold Palmer!"

What a loss. I will have to go by my dad's house tomorrow after work and check on him. Palmer was his hero, and I know he will be affected by his passing. RIP Arnie.

Very sad. You could see it coming. He was looking more and more frail in his latest appearances. He's in a better place now. He will definitely be missed. A true gentleman and legend of the game that helped shape this sport.

Just heard the news on the halftime report of SNF. It's been obvious for a while that he's been fighting something, but still sad to see a great one go!

I sincerely hope that both Ryder Cup teams will attend the funeral. That can be the only real measure of true respect!
