Let it all out, folks.

1. Having made an approach shot that came to rest off the green, I do what most of us do. I park the cart, grab the putter and maybe a couple of clubs for the most likely next shot.  The problem is that when I guess wrong, I rarely then go back to the cart.  I will make do with what I brought.

2. At address, I often simply forget to go through the proper swing thoughts that I know I have to keep in mind.  The consequences are predictably awful.

3. Knowing full well that alcohol spoils my round, I can not turn down a beer or two.  And my friends love to bring them.  I even buy them at times.

I am sure there are more.  What are yours?

1. Frustration at the pace of play on the course. Anything slower than 3.5 hour pace sends me into a tailspin

2. Frustration at people not letting faster groups play through. See point 1

3. Letting one bad hole spoil my round. Usually this only happens with quads or worse, but I feel like I lose confidence that I should even be on the course when it does happen.

4. Not warming up properly. The two courses that I play the most both start with 2 easy holes that I should par 80% of the time, but because I don't get a small bucket before most rounds, at least one of them is a bogey or worse.

Personally, I am thinking how boring golf would be with out my own bad habits.

No bad habits would rob me of new adventures

With no bad habits, I might give up golf due boredom .......in 20-30 years.

1. Hitting balls into water.

2. Hitting balls into trees.

3. Hitting balls OB.

4. Playing courses that have lots of water, trees and OB.

Love it! I bet a ton of people on this forum can relate to that.

Making the same mistake, on the same hole, time after time.  It isn't a lack of imagination; but rather an overabundance of it.  No attempt to think differently seems to work.  The approach shot, on #8, hooks left into the creek no matter what.

1. Laziness - been too lazy to set up the video when practicing with the result that my backswing now feels as graceful as an octopus mating with a sea urchin.

2. Laziness - I practice by hitting balls off the ground into a mowed field in my back pasture. But, since I then have to go pick them up before I can hit them again I am loathe to practice chipping as I should. It just feels like a waste to only go 50 yards or so and pick up all them chipped balls.

3. Laziness - I haven't been using my launch monitor and now I find that (as another posted) I'm airmailing a green that I used to be regularly short on.

4. Laziness - I asked my wife to get me a beer. Oh, wait. That's just good energy conservation practice! :-D
