Wow, that was some dumb thing to do. If this was real I hope the guy is okay. Can't believe anyone would do something this stupid.

I have done some pretty dumb things in my life. However watching this makes me feel a little bit better about some of those antics. Hitting that ice before it broke had to hurt.  Did he save the club?

Legendary gambler Titanic Thompson used to bet that he could drive a golf ball 500 yards with a hickory shafted club.  He would win by hitting his ball onto a frozen lake for never ending roll.  I assume he didn't actually stand on the lake though.

Yeah, it's a little hard to "splash" the ball off of frozen ice! I'm pretty good out of "rained on" bunkers, but even with fine sand, they're not as hard as ice.

Seriously a total miss. Same old rules apply. If you don't hit the sweet spot it's painful.

I use old Taylor Made clubs from eBay and golf shops.
