It is to worship the one that created everything.

Dunno why it needs a purpose, maybe it just is. We give it one if we so desire. Downfall to being self aware I guess.

work to me is nothing more than a necessary means to allow me to play golf and fish as much as I can

To leave the planet a little better off in some way than before you got there and to play lots of golf.

At least, we can do the latter with relative ease.

I may posted this in another tread.   A true story.  My home course has a few ponds with fish.   A guy in front group, hits a tee shot, whips out a portable fishing rod, and dips it in the pond while others are teeing off.   He did it a few times, and on the last hole, I saw him catch a fish about the size of a foot in length.   This guy definitely likes to have his cake and eat it, too.   He should be paying for his fish license, and extra $$$ to the golf course for the fishing privileg but I didn't complain.   He had no problem playing at fast enough pace while fishing B-) .

Interesting.  The only "purposes" that have gotten mocked and made fun of here are the ones involving God.

Sounds like there are a lot of "purposes" that do not include being tolerant of others' beliefs.

The only post to get any response at all was @Abu3baid 's and it got 10 negative responses of varying degrees of negativity, with one supportive.  No one else's state purpose was commented on at all by anyone else to any degree.  Yet almost one-third of the posts in this thread mock, to one degree or another, his answer.

Like I said, interesting.

But then again, what the hell do I know?
