Course information is now listed in the OP.

We'll have a mix of the old and new for this get together.

Dating to 1924, Dennison (formerly Granville GC) has some brutal greens when they're rolling fast. There's a definite Donald Ross feel to most of the course. It's one of my favorites in the area.

I didn't know Granville GC changed hands. I believe that front nine is actually designed by Donald Ross, or maybe the first few holes. I know hole #2 is a par 5 you will find on a few of his courses. I can think of two holes in the Pinehurst area that this design shows up on ;)

Looking forward to this.

I wonder if its a coincidence that there is a Donald Ross Dr and a Pinehurst Dr right next to the course

I am excited for this though. Is anyone planning on using the driving range ahead of time? (assuming they have one?)

Can you possibly charge over $50 in Ohio and not have a driving range?

Yeah. Small bucket for me is always part of the plan.

I will plan on a small warm up, but its not critical.

@georgep any recommendations on where to stay Saturday night?  Thanks for setting this up!

If you are checking into the hotel after the Dennison round on Saturday, I would recommend heading closer to Northstar, which is close to Sunbury, aprox. 30 min. from the Dennison course.

At the exit from I-71 close to the course, there are at least 3 hotels, a Holiday Inn Express 7301 OH-37, Sunbury, OH 43074, Americas Best Value Inn and Suites, and a Hampton Inn Columbus/Delaware. Those are about 40 minutes from the Dennison course, but only 5 minutes from the NorthStar course the next morning.

If you wanted to stay in a more central location between the two courses with more dining options, you can stay around the Easton Shopping mall, that'd be pretty close to the middle of both courses, about 20-25 minutes from each course.

@klineka thanks! Had planned to post basically the same locations. Easton or Polaris if you want to be close to restaurants/movies/etc., 71/36 for better rate and proximity to Sunday course.

I'm going to tag a few people here who might be interested…

Also, I KNOW we have a LOT of members from areas nearby. Cinci, Kentucky… etc. Tag anyone who might be interested.

I will look into this a bit more but I am not sure if I will be able to make it happen.  My schedule has been absolutely crazy this summer.

I saw the thread and have followed it in case an alternate date was selected. Our City's Senior Golf Championship is on the same weekend and I signed up for that a couple months ago. If there is another Ohio meet-up down the road, I can see making the trip. If/when we do another Michigan outing, we will let everyone know in Buckeyeland.

Sounds like fun, but I already have a charity event to play in at my home course that weekend.

@iacas will see how August shapes out. If something works out in my travels I would certainly love to do this.

Your appetite to travel long ways for golf amazes me. I was stunned to hear where you were from last year at Norwalk. That said, hope you can make it.
