But your eagle chip was the nastiest...you were on fire on the back 9.

It was such that you would've been lucky to even touch the ball with your club. The picture doesn't show that the hole was at the bottom of a second ~1 foot deep hole.

Today was a grind ... a really fun grind.   My morning match (with @mchepp, against @cipher and @bkuehn1952) ended in a dead heat with nobody ever being more than 1 up at any time.

In the afternoon, with @phillyk vs. @jsgolfer and @coachjimsc, nobody was ever more than 2up, and most of the Day was spent all square.

Really fun day.

Yeah it was a really fun day. Mid-South is a great course. Talamore is solid, too. Glad it's basically a dead heat going into tomorrow. It's wide open.

Excellent golf all around you guys, and thanks to the crew who keeps us updated with messages and pictures throughout. I feel like I was there (except in the bunkers, ah!). It sure looks like a lot of fun and a tight match overall. But the Red team is now where it needs to be: on top! :beer:

It's definitely been a case of one team winning, and not the other team losing. The matches have been really good so far.

This picture doesn't do the lie justice. It was a foot or two down in that trench. I was secretly hoping @NCGolfer would try it because it wasn't going anywhere. The unplayable was the right choice and the hole out was the icing on top.

    • Day 27 (17 July 26) - Normally an 18 hole day, but due to commitments abbreviated the round to 9 holes (played the back nine at home course).  Had a solid session where even the worst miss (tee shot off 18) was fully playable.  Shot a solid 39 (6pars, 3bogies) - not dbls, no three putts - just boring golf.
    • Overall, well said. People have to be very careful in trying to describe very complex problem in simple terms. In this case, it is a clear fundamental misunderstanding of Newton's 1st and 3rd laws.  To clarify more on the misinterpretation of Newton's 1st law. The exact interpretation of Newton's 1st Law....  "Every body continues in its state of rest, or of uniform motion in a straight line, unless it is compelled to change that state by forces impressed upon it" yea, a body will stay motionless unless a force acts upon it. An object will stay on its path of motion unless a force acts upon it.  I get it, complex physics problems are difficult. There is a lot of simplification done in most physics class when it is taught. A classic problem uses a frictionless surface. Projectile motion excludes drag and wind direction. Collisions are usually elastic. The golf swing is not a simple physics problem.  Yea, I think they got caught up the data on the graphs and are not truly understanding cause and effect.  If the golfer isn't first pushing into the ground, then the ground isn't going to push back.  The internal forces of the body create the motion, not the external forces from the ground. The ground isn't like what Psy uses to start his concert. 🤣 You probably need to be connected to the ground and have those GRF to help the body produce the motion you want. Your body has to move in the right way to produce the GRF which helps you move the body in the way you want. Body motion precedes the GRF.
